So here I am 12:30 Saturday night and I can't sleep. Nothing profound keeping me awake, just the fact that I took a 2 hour nap this afternoon. I was laying here in bed thinking what the next step for my blog to be and I realized I left out one huge thing in my first post. I got saved!
Here is the story....
It all started the day I graduated from high school. May 28th 2002, also the day I started dating my future husband! It only starts there because I never knew what it meant to be a Christian until I met Scott. About a month after we started dating, Scott got the nerve to ask me if I was a christian; of course I was! I grew up going to church for the first 14 years of my life.
Right? Wrong!!
To dig deeper Scott started with the question, why did I think I was a christian?
My answer: I pray every day and read my bible everyday! Good answer but WRONG! So I lied, he was hot, do you blame me?!
Over the next month Scott began explaining what it meant to be a Christ follower. Then in July 2002 I began going to Youth Group with him. It wasn't until a skinny young youth pastor from Tennessee (PM) showed up to the small room with an overhead projector with the words on it for worship, did I truly give my heart to my one and only, Jesus Christ! The rest of that year was so completely insane. I learned a lot of things that I would rather unlearn now, but also a lot of things that set a foundation of who I am today.
So there is that story! So much has happened between then and now, but hey thats what another post is for right?

The Start
Welcome!
I have tried this before and it did not go anywhere, so lets just try it again!
I love reading blogs and would love to keep something for my daughter and future children to read about how they were when they were growing up, so why not start a blog? I'm not a great writer so it will be nothing profound, just some pictures, how my day is going and maybe some feelings written out on paper (I mean online).
First I will let you know who I am:
My name is Ashley. I grow up as a military brat but only lived in 4 different states, so not to bad. Born in Oklahoma then moved to Texas when I was 8 or so. Lived in Texas for 5 years then moved to Alaska for 3 years. Never again will I live there, beautiful, but never again will I live there. Lastly we moved to Florida my Junior year in high school, where my dad retired and I now currently reside.
In high school I ran track and cross country, wasn't to bad either I must add! My senior year I met my now husband! He was dating my best friend at the time, but he was hot and a few months later (with her permission of course) we started dating! Later her permission meant nothing and her and my other friends wanted nothing to do with me (because apparently friends don't date friends ex-boyfriends even after they said you can...... ohhhh how I miss high school!) Anyways.... after 4 long years Scott and I were married! Then August 30, 2007 our lives changed forever, that is the day I found out I was pregnant! One of the scariest and most exciting days of my life! On May 1, 2008, after 26hrs of labor, Breanne Melody was born 7lbs 3oz 19in at 10:10am.
Breanne is now a 14 month busy little girl! She literally eats all day (ask anyone) and has an incredible amount of energy! She loves to read books and play outside (no matter how hot it is)! She is learning and talking so much right now. She is such a joy to Scott and I!
There has been so much more that has happened in the last 14 months that I would love to share with you.... I am thinking of doing a picture post of the last 14 months to get you updated on our life with Breanne. Maybe I will work on it today while Breanne is taking a nap... anyways stay posted....
